Why would Twitter take down your account?
If the account is suspected of being spammy, or just plain fake, they introduce a security risk to Twitter and or everyone using Twitter. And are said to be against Twitter rules.
If they suspect an account might have been hacked or compromised, then Twitter might suspend it until it is secured and restored to the owner.
When an account is suspected of engaging in misbehaving like sending threats to others, or impersonating other accounts, it may be temporarily suspended or, in some cases, permanently.
